Program, Operation: Off the Ground, Recognized by the Wisconsin Association of Homes and Services for the Aging
Representatives from the Wisconsin Association of Homes and Services for the Aging were at Waukesha Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center to present the New Directions in Creative Programming Award. The center’s interdisciplinary team developed Operation: Off the Ground to promote resident safety and allow patients to remain as independent as possible.
Kelly Swartz of Health Dimensions Group, who provides marketing development support for Waukesha Springs, explained that the center received this award for successfully eliminating the use of alarms, resulting in improved quality of life for residents and a reduction in falls. “This recognition is a testament to our caregivers’ commitment to safety and service alike,” Swartz said.
